Becky Powell joined Protravel from another Travel Leaders Group luxury brand, Andrew Harper Travel, where as Senior Vice President she managed all operational and sales aspects for the brand. Becky is a seasoned luxury travel executive having spent more than 30 years in various aspects of travel operations and sales, including nine years at Virtuoso in executive positions including Senior Vice President, Global Member Partnership; Vice President Member Sales and Service; and Managing Director, National Accounts. While at Virtuoso she opened Virtuoso Europe for agency membership, initiated “innovation teams” to create new products and solutions for its members, and launched an industry-lauded certification program for Virtuoso travel advisors. She previously worked at Brendan Worldwide Vacations in Chatsworth, Calif., AAA National in Heathrow, Fla., and Trans World Airlines in St. Louis, Mo.
Senior Vice President of Airline Relations
Peter Vlitas started with Protravel International in 1998 and has managed corporate and entertainment airline programs, airline industry relationships, contract negotiations and analysis ever since. He oversees the team responsible for revenue management, rates, cost containment and adherence to contractual parameters. He has been working for over 34 years in the travel industry, starting as an agent at the age of 18 in a small company. Travel Leaders Group agents rely on his depth of knowledge, advice and counsel to ensure that their clients are receiving the same excellent service in the air as they do on the ground. Mr. Vlitas sits on several airline advisory boards and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughters and is involved with numerous philanthropic activities.
Chief Operating Officer
Michele (LaRosa) Capaccio is a 35-year travel industry veteran. As Chief Operating Officer, Capaccio oversees day-to-day operations of the award-winning full-service travel agency organization and reports to Protravel President Becky Powell.Capaccio brings a deep operational knowledge to her role, having first joined Protravel in 1986. She has held a wide range of responsibilities spanning accounting and office management to the integration of multiple new branches, HR administration, and the design and development of agent tools and resources. Her role also entails providing guidance and support to hundreds of independent travel advisors in a wide variety of areas. Capaccio lives in Long Beach with her husband and works out of Protravel’s New York City headquarters.
Senior Vice President of West Coast Operations
A veteran luxury executive, Don Jones is highly-regarded in the travel industry and prior to joining Travel Leaders Luxury Brands served as Executive Vice President for Cadence Travel and Vice President of Sales, The Americas for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Jones is now responsible for guiding the leadership structure and strategic plan, as well as increasing market share and revenue, particularly for Protravel International and Tzell Travel Group on the West Coast. He is based in the Los Angeles-area. His distinguished career in the hotel industry included positions with the Beverly Wilshire, The Pierre as well as the Four Seasons Hotels in Atlanta and Newport Beach. “Joining iconic brands like Tzell and Protravel is a privilege and an honor,” said Jones.
Senior Vice President, Leisure Sales & Marketing
After building and selling one of New York City’s leading travel agencies, Andy Pesky joined Protravel in 1999. Today he oversees our growing leisure sales and marketing programs. He manages many industry contacts and relationships on behalf of Protravel, negotiating with hotels, cruise lines and tour operators. Much of his time is devoted to assisting Protravel agents with his vast knowledge of luxury destinations across the globe. He also serves on various prestigious travel industry advisory boards. He coordinates Protravel’s annual kid’s holiday extravaganza for the Beth Israel Children’s Hospital and the NY Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation. Mr. Pesky lives in Manhattan and Long Island with his wife Elaine—a longtime Protravel agent—and enjoys taking his children and grandchildren on special voyages all over the world.
Vice President, Sales Operations and Agent Support
Laura D'Angelo began her career in the travel industry in the early 1980s in the reservations department of British Airways in New York City. She later joined Travel in Style, which became part of the Protravel family in 2001. D'Angelo has performed many duties over the years, including corporate and leisure sales, back office accounting and branch management. She is responsible for Client Services, Training and Agent Support. She has been instrumental in working with front-end applications and testing developing and implementing new agent tools. She is located at Protravel's New York City headquarters and continues to expand her operational role. Laura is married with two grown boys and lives in New Jersey.
Vice President, Operations
Michele Delgado is a highly seasoned travel industry professional who began as a front line travel agent. During her 30-plus-year career, Michele has specialized in a wide variety of areas including group, leisure and corporate travel as well as account management and team leadership. Michele joined Protravel in 2016 as Senior Director of Operations for the Eastern and Central branches. In 2017, she was promoted to VP of Operations for the Eastern and Central regions and, in her current role, manages nine Protravel branches.
Vice President, Business Development
Mickey Weill joined Protravel International in 2005 after building a 20-year reputation for integrity in the travel industry. Operating out of our Beverly Hills office, he helps to lead our growth in corporate and leisure travel in the robust West Coast market. He is a popular and respected member of the travel industry and serves on several influential travel advisory boards. In 2017, Mickey was honored as the Most Respected Travel Advisor by Virtuoso.
Vice President, Marketing and Demand Analytics
Asmita Singh joined Tzell Travel Group in January 2017 as the Vice President of Marketing and Demand Analytics for Travel Leader Group – consisting of the award-winning luxury travel brands, Protravel International and Tzell Travel Group. What makes Asmita’s marketing approach particularly compelling is her devotion to helping our best-in-class travel agents to amplify how they tell their stories to travelers, including existing and potential clients. Her expertise in multi-channel marketing makes her an outstanding choice to take our high-end luxury travel brands to the next level. Singh brings more than 12 years of experience, most recently at PR Newswire, where she served as the Vice President of Digital Experience & Marketing Optimization, managing their global digital experience, reporting and analytics, and marketing technology teams. Asmita lives in new Jersey with her husband and young daughter.
Managing Director of Protravel UK
Jason Oshiokpekhai serves as Managing Director of Protravel International U.K., Tzell Travel Group U.K., Colletts Travel and Scotia Travel. Based in London, Jason oversees daily operations for the brands which serve luxury leisure, corporate and entertainment clients in the United Kingdom. Prior to his appointment, Jason worked as Director of Sales and Account Management for Protravel and Tzell Travel Group where he built the first-ever Sales & Account management team and helped to streamline sales operations. He has been instrumental in building corporate travel business for the U.K. market. Jason previously worked at Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, where he successfully led business development, agency & corporate sales teams. He is passionate about two things: (1) empowering his team to achieve higher levels of success and (2) giving back to local communities in need.
